We are a resource ministry that exists to train young people to encounter God through enjoyable, worshipful prayer in a group setting for the purpose of preparing for and 'praying in' the harvest.

We also provide discipleship training in the foundations of the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ through a tool called "The Exchange." The Exchange is a practical discipleship guide to living in the freedom that Christ provided and is based on the book of Romans.

Whereas our group prayer training empowers believers to become a 'House of Prayer for the nations,' The Exchange empowers individuals to become a personal house of prayer constantly living in the abundant life that Jesus provided. We believe that both sets of training are foundational in preparing believers to live an empowered Christian life.  Presently we are working with several ministries at the University of Houston and are delighted to connect with other college-age groups that would benefit from this training.

We believe that every person has a calling to impact the world with the Kingdom of God and that intimacy with Jesus is foundational in that process. We desire to see campuses transformed as people encounter their loving Father. Jesus described His family as a "house of prayer for the nations" and our goal is to provide training that makes this a reality. We want to empower believers to fulfill their assigment on earth and firmly believe that all true ministry must come from an overflow of deep experiential relationship with God.

"All these I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer."   - Isaiah 56:7

One thing I have asked from the LORD,
That I shall seek: That I may dwell
In the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD
And to meditate in His temple.”    —Psalm 27:4

We want every believer to experience — above all else — intimacy with Jesus.  The Greatest Commandment is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength1.

Experiencing God Himself, in ever-increasing intimacy is the sole source of strength, peace, power, love, unity … all of life itself. The authentic freedom Jesus died to give us will become reality as we grow in passionate love and depth of insight into the character and nature of God2.

C-HOP’s mandate is to change campus culture by helping to create a widespread atmosphere of love for God and our neighbor3. We do this on campus by working in a practical and deeply functional unity with other campus organizations that call on the name of Jesus.

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,
because the LORD has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners.”     —Isaiah 61:1

Intimacy with Jesus naturally results in the increase of His government and kingdom1. God reconciled the world to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation2. Jesus said that He would make those who follow Him into fishers of men3. He blessed Abraham so that Abraham could be a blessing to every nation4. It is clear… the pleasure of God’s heart is to love us – and to love others through us!

C-HOP’s mandate is to discuss and demonstrate the Gospel of the Kingdom on campus, and then invite and instruct others to do the same! Many times this involves loving, serving, bridge-building and meeting practical needs … “They don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”

"Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins;
you will raise up the age-old foundations;
and you will be called the  repairer of the breach,
the restorer of the streets in which to dwell.”   —Isaiah 58:12

Destiny is locked up in the hearts of every person – Christian and pre-Christian alike. The kingdoms of this world are becoming the kingdoms of our Lord and His Anointed1. This transformation will see believers flourishing in their true purpose, identity and destiny by having the treasure within discovered, strengthened and released. Many Christians simply need to be activated in their calling through gaining skills, confidence and willingness to take risks in God!

C-HOP’s mandate is to establish an equipping center on campus where people can receive one-on-one training, group Bible studies, seminars and opportunities to try out their gifts and ministries. We envision a campus full of activated, on fire believers who are firmly established in foundational theology of repentance, faith, baptism, laying on of hands, resurrection and judgment2. When the foundation is firm, we can press forward into a mature expression of gifts and fruit, bringing glory to God.
